Readers of online newspapers are younger, richer and more web-savvy than the average internet user, according to research from the Newspaper Marketing Agency. The profile of online newspaper readers forms part of the Newspaper Marketing Agency’s PressClick initiative, which aims to encourage advertisers to use the medium more. The agency has said it will begin releasing monthly audience data and insights into using online newspapers in campaigns. While we go about our daily mission of trying to make sense out of internet marketing–and make a few bucks while we are at it–there are some things happening in the background that we should keep an eye on. As internet marketers it goes without saying that we want (and actually need) unfettered access to the internet by everyone. Internet providers like Comcast are one of the most important (if not the most important) link in the internet food chain that we all live in. If they decide to limit supply and then hold internet users hostage with internet metering techniques etc, it could hamper the ability to reach all those folks that need the stuff we have. I guess, being at the top of the internet food chain means you are above the law and do whatever you please even if it violates the ?access to all? mentality of us internet types. As internet marketers we should be very aware and more than a little concerned about the restriction of bandwidth usage in the future especially of all the hype around video delivery is going to make the jump to reality. read more

Horrible, after I realized I’d missed the free downloading period. I never download from iTunes and I’d hate for the soundtrack to be iTunes-specific. Also, based on the reports from Comic Con thus far, this seems like it would be the most fun panel to attend! I can’t wait for the soundtrack & DVD to come out. Robert Alan Soloway, dubbed the "Spam King" by investigators, was sentenced Tuesday to 47 months in prison on a variety of charges. He pleaded guilty in March to charges of mail fraud, fraud in connection with electronic mail, and failure to file a tax return. Attorney Kathryn Warma wrote, "he is known worldwide for the volume and markedly malicious nature of his criminal spamming activity, the fraudulent 'spam promotion' sales scheme associated with it and for brazen and even boastful claims that he is above the law and anyone — including federal judges — who would dare attempt to seek his compliance with it. read more

Before we get carried away, this does not necessarily mean that George has had sex with her, says Henry Nicholls, author of a book about George .
