But Liberal leader Ted Baillieu survived a shadow Cabinet meeting and a gathering of up to 20 MPs without criticism over the controversy. Mr Wells demanded that sacked bloggers Simon Morgan and John Osborn be expelled from the party altogether, in a move that re-ignited internal debate about the issue. The blogging scandal, despite representing the biggest setback for the Liberals since 2002, was not even raised by Mr Baillieu at shadow Cabinet.
