With two freshmen in its starting lineup and a third serving as “sixth man,” the Montana women’s basketball team posted a confidence-building win over Denver on Tuesday night, 65-51. Montana (1-3) did a lot of good things in the first half but struggled with its shooting. Once the touch came around in the second half, the Lady Griz cruised past a salty Pioneers team. She scored 17 points and had just two turnovers in 40 minutes. Their poise is remarkable considering their lack of experience.
